Aiken Hall Restoration Project
A Place for all cultures to live in harmony.
Aiken Hall Restoration Project consist of the renovation of a 102 room historic building. The building acts as a residential home and private high school for pagans, witches, and others who have been discriminated against.
We house homeless pagans and others who are in need of a safe, non-judgmental place for a short period of time. We have another private residential home a street over to house dis-placed pagans and those who need shelter. MOST OF OUR SERVICES ARE FREE. While at Aiken Hall, students study basic high school requirements as well as explore their belief system and learn to live in harmony with nature. Those with talents in tarot, herbs, stones, and various other forms of the craft are encouraged to pursue their talents and hone their skills. All Traditions and Paths are welcome.
Aiken Hall is in need of a new roof. Over the last 100 years it has been patched, patched, and re-patched. Please click the link and help us accomplish this. Also recently, because of discrimination by the Mayor and a few others in City Hall, a suit has been filed in US Federal Court, Eastern District of Kentucky, Rose v. The City of Olive Hill. Case No. 008CV26-DLB (a copy is available to all supporters who request it). WE WILL NOT BE VICTIMS OF DISCRIMINATION. THE MAYOR and Others WOULD LIKE US TO LEAVE AND ARE TRYING, THROUGH BOGUS ORDINANCES, TO TAKE THE BUILDING. THATS THE ONLY WAY THEY CAN GET RID OF THE "WITCH and MIS-FIT" POPULATION.
Since I returned to my Home town a small group have discriminated, harrassed, called names, and just been their general ignorant selves. We lived and ignored them, but no more.We will stand proud and defend the rights of pagans everywhere.We also welcome others who wish to join us.
This is the oldest historical brick school in the community. It is composed of yellow fire brick and was built in 1917 by The Woman's Missionary Group of the Methodist Church. It was purchased by Melissa Rose. It has been used by a covan for several purposes, including residence since 1998. In 2006 it housed students and became Aiken Hall Education Academy, a private school for anyone who needed a High School Education and for whatever reason could not accomplish this from a public system, especially PAGANS, who had been discriminated against. Many dropped out because of the attitudes of their communities and fellow students toward Pagans, witches, Gays, lesbians, trans-gendered, and anyone else who is different. Because of our diversity, we are big targets in this small Hypocritical Bible Belt Community, but have endured.
Aiken Hall is undergoing a full renovation. The bottom floors are complete, but there is so much more to do.Please Help us by donating whatever you can afford.
For the last 6 years, this has been a hard project, and a constant fight to keep everything intact. The politics changed in this small town in 2003 which has led to constant harrassment and a policy of "out to get us". We need all the help we can get to preserve the building as well as our constitutionally protected rights. A loss here is a loss to pagans everywhere! If the judge looks at all the evidence and sees all the horriable things done while we have been here, many cases can use this US District Court Case to back their anti discrimination suit.
